Frequently asked questions
What we wish we knew before getting started
I’ve never done Pilates or Reformer, will I be able to do it?
Absolutely. While the machine might seem intimidating at first, it is actually a wonderful support tool. In our group classes, our instructors constantly adapt the exercises and resistance to your level. You will be guided every step of the way.
How often should I come to see results?
You will feel a sense of lightness and alignment from your very first session. To lock in these benefits, develop your deep core strength, and support your longevity, we recommend practicing at least twice a week. Of course, everyone moves at their own pace, once a week is already great, three times or more is excellent.
Will I lose weight ?
Let’s be transparent: Pilates alone will not make you lose weight, unless practiced at an extremely intensive level.
However, its impact on your body runs deep: the Reformer strengthens your deep muscles, allowing you to sculpt your silhouette, trim your waistline, and considerably improve your posture.
For us, weight loss relies on a global balance: mindful eating, a healthy lifestyle, and a workout routine tailored to your goals (combining cardio, strength training, and low-impact practices). Pilates at our studio will be the pillar of your strength and alignment throughout this journey.
I’m not flexible / not athletic / I have back pain... Can I still try?
That is exactly why you should do Pilates! Flexibility is a result, not a prerequisite. The Reformer is a magical machine for this: its springs and straps support you, guide you, and allow you to gain range of motion and flexibility in complete safety, no matter your starting point.
